Key information at his blog. Firm focused on online consumer and advertiser behavior and the relationship between the Internet and traditional media, with an emphasis on the local marketplace
       
Counselors to America's Small Business - Apply for Grants, Free Business Workbooks, and Free Business Templates   Small Business Technology Institute – a marvelous resource of information and support for small businesses. Also publish a quarterly magazine that has many great articles

NFIB (National Federation of Independent Businesses) – the largest advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses. NFIB's purpose is to impact public policy at the state and federal level and be a key business resource for small and independent business in America   US Census Bureau – home page for detailed US demographics and business sizes.
2002 Economic Census (with employees) - profiles American business every 5 years, from the national to the local level. Details size by employee, payroll and revenue of company that have employees as well as industry segment information.  Great detail of the approximately 6 million US companies that have employees
