Only certain numbers can be encoded using UPC-E and EAN/JAN-8.  If you check the Check Digit check box for these symbologies, we will force your string to be encoded.  Interleaved 2 of 5 and MSI/Plessey can only be used to encode numeric data. Code 128 and Code 3 of 9 Full ASCII will encode any alpha-numeric string.  Note that the following symbologies require an exact number of numeric characters:
