The latest version of various MobileAsset components are:

• Database: 6.2.1
• PC Client Program: 6.3
• Web Module: 6.2.3
• Windows Mobile/CE program: 6.2

MobileAsset v 6.3 patch

1) Now supports Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.
2) Fixed bug: Checked out assets no longer show up on the check-out screen with a red x next to them.
3) Fixed bug: For an existing default filter, failed to hide the customer and employee number columns
4) Fixed bug: if columns have been reordered, the export doesn't export data in the right order
5) Fixed bug: when creating multiple assets at once, and option set to edit inherited asset type data, the 2+ asset is saved with the asset type data from the first asset.
6) Fixed bug: on a UK system, if user has set up maintenance schedule, it fails to load up the maintenance entry form. Error shown: "Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime"
7) Fixed bug: if the initial asset purchase cost is non-zero, user cannot edit the asset to set the cost to zero.
8) Fixed bug: Reordering columns on the asset list may be reset to default column orders if user opens the edit screen and returns to the list form.
9) Fixed bug: if a user doesn't have New rights, he can still create new customer on the check out screen.
10) Fixed bug: For an asset with a lead time, after checked in and changed lead time to 0 days, the asset still is not available for immediate checkout.

How to apply the patch:

MobileAsset Standard or Professional: On each of the client machine, run the patch program. It should bring the programs to the latest. On the database server, if only database is installed, there is no need to run the patch, since the database is updated with one of the client machine patching. If the programs also reside on the database server, then shall run the patch program on database server too.

MobileAsset Enterprise: If you have Enterprise edition, please download the patch, as explained above in the Standard and Professional version, and also download the Enterprise DB Installer and run it on your database server.

MobileAsset v 6.2.4 patch

1) Now we manage software versions (aka PC, web, mobile device) separately.
2) Allow user to customize label on the Asset Description field (on the Asset New/Edit screen), as well as to manage whether it is required or visible features.
3) Fixed bug: duplicate serial numbers get in on the import even if you have the option set to not allow them.
4) Fixed bug: Find - Failed to search asset by 'Category' in both simple find and advanced find forms.
5) Fixed bug: on the mobile device, if an asset has too many layers of child assets, the program may cause memory leak problem during move or audit.
6) Fixed bug: Parse the advanced filter set from PC to better work on the web module
7) Fixed bug: some reports on the web are showing inactive records.
8) Add MASessionTimeout in the default web config files to allow user to better manage the web site session timeout.
9) Web module: now recursively retrieves all active directory groups that the domain user's in, as well as the primary group.

MobileAsset v 6.2.3 patch

1) Fixed bug: The actual content of attachment(s) gets deleted while opening any asset/asset type/employee and etc record in edit mode and then save.

MobileAsset v 6.2.2 patch

1)  Fixed bug: Duplicate function on asset list causes duplicate unscheduled maintenance entries.

MobileAsset v 6.2.1 patch

1) Added the checked out customer and employee name back to the asset and transaction lists. (Was changed to just show the number, now we show both name and number)

MobileAsset v 6.2 patch

1) Now supports Windows CE 6 devices.
2) Updated database scripts so it now backwards supports SQL Server 2000.
3) Addresses backward compatibility with third party Janus controls.
4) Fixed bug:  maintenance entry fails when 2 or more unschedule maintenances coexist for the same asset with only 1 as active record.
5) Added customer number back on Transaction history tab on Edit asset for check-out transaction. also added the employee number for the check-outs to the employees.
6) Fixed bug:  Checkout dialog closes if user scanned an asset which is already in the pending list.
7) Added Feature: We now show the total number of assets in the pending list for the check in/out and transfer dialog for more user friendly interface.

MobileAsset v 6.1

• A new web module is added so user is able to access most of the PC functions via web browser, which includes:
• majority of Asset Management features (move, check in/out, transfer, dispose, maintenance entry)

• Check in/out/transfer will now take lead time into consideration

MobileAsset v 6.1 addresses the following issues:

• Enforce memory collection logic on mobile device to address the memory leak issue.
• Performace issue on Check out/in screen: If you are on the check in/out screen, have everything pinned except for asset tag. Then quickly scan many assets. Eventually, the buffer fills up, and an asset tag gets truncated.
  
• Database backup extension is changed to .bak instead of .bkp so it conforms to Microsoft SQL Server defaults.
  
• Report: Customer By Name/Number report shows cell phone number as home phone number
  
• Asset Tag label prints Asset Type Description rather than Asset Description
  
• Asset Type Attachment screen: two default images can coexist in the same asset type
  
• When duplicating Asset Type, attachments and pictures do not get copied over
  
• Duplicating customer on PC client puts "Copy of" in front of Name instead of Customer No.
  
• Application crashes: If you edit an asset, then you go to the maintenance tab and delete a maintenace schedule, then you save the asset.
  
• User is able to create two new assets of the same asset type when option 'allow duplicate serial numbers within the same asset type' is unchecked
  
• Edit Asset Maintenance Schedule: now allows user to enter text in 'Assign To' combo box instead of only selecting from drop down
